ABOUT GIANNA
Gianna is a gentle and compassionate meditation teacher of Sri Lankan Australian heritage, informed by her upbringing within Theravada Buddhist tradition and childhood nourished by mindfulness practices.
These principles and virtues guided her towards serving young people as a trained facilitator since 2016. As a youth worker she nurtured her participants in developing emotional intelligence, empathy and self-awareness by leaning into vulnerability and honest conversations. She created workshops with Headspace Australia to bridge understanding between parents/caregivers and their young person. Gianna has designed and delivered corporate workshops for organisations such as Deloitte and Snapchat that focused on creativity, community building and authentic connection. She also devoted these years to mentoring a wide range of professionals across multiple industries.
Gianna is deeply passionate about building a sense of home within community, as striving towards greater wellness and self-development can easily become a very isolated journey. Gianna has since combined ancient eastern philosophy and her degree in psychology to bring forward a holistic understanding of self-healing. She creates a safe container for all people to arrive as they are, accompanying participants with every step as they unveil their own wisdom through her gentle inquiry.

TESTIMONIALS

I had the privilege of attending once, and it was remarkable. I can be very guarded, and so I did not expect to feel so safe and so comfortable so quickly. I even noticed at the start I had clenched fists, and as the conversations continued around being present and connection with self. I noticed my hands slowly unclenching. If you are trying to find a community of people without the pressure of labels THIS IS IT! Meeting people I wouldn't usually bump into was such an enriching experience. I realised how interconnected we all were, regardless of not physically meeting.

As with every session, I enjoyed it a lot and felt super safe. You really have a hack for attracting safe and kind people and for creating a safe and loving space. Thank you very much for the very soothing and loving meditation today - the words, your slow way of speaking, your tone of voice - all was like healing cream for the heart.

I look forward to Gianna's events every month! It's such a good time to reflect, set intentions, and just have space to pause and assess your life. As someone who struggles with feeling vulnerable and moving through my feelings, I find her events refreshing and easy to get closer to my own truth. Gianna creates a safe space for personal healing, growth, and reflection. I'll wake up any day at 5am for Gianna's events.

Gianna demonstrates the qualities that I most hope to see (but rarely do) in our leaders. She listens deeply, prompts thoughtfully, and gives so much room for encouraging open-minded, unattached experience of emotion. I am inspired.

Gianna holds space for you. It’s an opportunity to slow down and quietly reflect inwards, in a safe community of likeminded people. After one night I feel refreshed and more connected to myself.

Sacred Space is doing a great job in building a sense of connection and community in our greatly disconnected world. It's just beautiful people coming together and exploring interesting ideas with openness and understanding.

Such a beautiful unravelling and discovery occurred. We also explored some beautiful action based questions. I highly recommend if you ever get the chance to submit yourself to the Call To Presence event.
